crazy evening

Shane and I went to Boston College last night to watch one of his friends and their new taiko group play. We took the Green Line, which unfortunately meant that it took us an hour and a half to get there. I was feeling kind of sick, too, which didn't help.

The taiko was fun, though a bit disorganized. The group is brand new and I didn't think they had quite decided what they wanted to do and haven't meshed together as a a team yet. They do make their own drums.

My life is boring. Been working hard on stuff for Anime Boston. Other than that, I have nothing to report XD

Heh, the Green Line never failed to make me motion-sick back when I was still in the Boston area. ><; It would be nice if they could at least make an express line that didn't stop every block or so but I guess that would be difficult to build.

Thanks! I'm aiming to be more active in journaling, and I like DW better than LJ...it seems more private? :P

The Green Line is the worst excuse for a subway line ever. But I end up taking it a lot because, well, that's the only way to get downtown!

Taiko envy! (Even if they were disorganized.) I haven't seen taiko since I left Japan, which is too bad because I love it.

I started playing in a group after I moved back, and it's awesome. All the people in the group we saw that night seem really good, though - it's just that I think they're super new and not used to playing with each other yet. I have high hopes for them XD
